Coca-Cola Scholarship

The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation is awarding $3 million a year in scholarships to 250 deserving students.  A few minutes of your time could help get you through college and beyond.  The deadline to receive completed applications is October 31, 2016.  For additional information go to www.coca-colascholars.org.
  

Elks Vocational Scholarship and Elks Students with Disabilities Scholarship

California-Hawaii Elks Association Programs

 

Vocational Grant:

Open to any prospective applicant, residing in California or Hawaii who is an American Citizen, planning to pursue an eligible vocational/technical course, above and supplemental to high school or preparatory school level. A high school diploma or equivalent is not required.

 Applications are available by downloading the form from the website.

 There are 55 California and 3 Hawaii Grants of $1,000 for one year, with an option to renew for one more year.

 Applications are judged on motivation, need, skills, grades, and overall brochure.

The completed application is due to the to the Scholarship chairman, Exalted Ruler or Secretary of the Elks Lodge having jurisdiction in the area of the student’s legal residence three months after receiving the application.

 

Undergraduate Scholarship Program for Students with Disabilities:

Open to United States citizens, resident of California or Hawaii, have a physical impairment, neurological impairment, visual impairment, hearing impairment, and/or speech/language disorder; and be a senior in high school, a high school graduate, or have passed the General Education Development (GED) Examination or the California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE.)

 Applications are available from the Lodge Scholarship Chairman or on the website.

 Scholarship awards are normally $1,000 for community colleges or vocational schools and $2,000 for four-year colleges or universities per year. After initial award, reapplication for a maximum of three renewals is possible for a total of four years, or until undergraduate degree is achieved, whichever comes first.

 It is based on financial need.

The application must be endorsed by the Lodge Scholarship Chairman, Exalted Ruler, or Secretary; however the applicant is solely responsible for forwarding the completed application packet to the California-Hawaii Elks Major Project, Inc. office on or before March 15, 2016.
